Today I witnessed two heart breaking scenes which made me to write here. First incident happened in the afternoon. I used to park my car away from my office near the shipyard behind the EMIRATES NBD head office at Diera. The ship yard area is normally occupied by Pakistani and Iranian laborers. There are so many trees on the side of the creek where so many small birds made there nests and in the morning and eve its pleasant scene to watch them reaching there nests. Today while i was parking the car I saw a laborer is hitting those nests and destroying them. All those small birds are crying around him. I shouted at him and reach him. But when he answered me i was speechless. He said he was starving and was looking for the birds eggs to eat them as he did not have anything from yesterday. I take him to the near by restaurant and ordered food for him and when i came back i could still hear those heart breaking cry of those birds.
The other one was just half an hour ago Near my house there is a waste bin by municipality where a cat family comprising two kitten and its parents were living happily, Both kitten are two month old and there playful moves give joy to all the people around AL SHAAB SUPERMARKET RESIDENTIAL AREA.. While I was going towards my room I heard a loud thud noise and the painful cry of the Cats. One of those two kitten were hit by a car and is motionless on the middle of the road. When I ran to the scene the mother cat also ran to the body of the small one and start licking and crying while the other kitten was totally shocked and was standing in the middle of the road. I tried to move the cars without hitting the Mother cat and its kitten. All of a sudden the fallen kitten got consciousness and tried to stand. But his two legs were broken and could not walk. The mother cat and its brother cat or sister cat helped the fallen cat to the side of the road. I help them move to the pedestrian area where lots of people tried to feed them now and care them. I felt sorry for both the mother cat and its children.
A pain full day where I witnessed some of the realities of life which made me to pray more for all those who are suffering from one issue or the other. May god give them all good health, peace and happiness!
